Richardson, Texas- The Concordia Texas softball team was bested in a doubleheader against UT-Dallas, 2-0 and 5-4. Senior 
Cristina Ayala was dyanamic at the plate as she posted two hits in each game at the UTD Softball Field on Friday.
GAME ONE: L, 2-0
 
The Tornados were able to record five hits, but were unable to bring home a run ultimately falling 0-2 in game one. 
 
In game one, 
Caitlyn Rangel in the circle threw for 105 pitches securing six strikeouts on only four hits allowed. 
 
The Comets homered in the first to take an early 1-0 lead. Threatening to answer in the top of the second, CTX loaded the bases with three singles but were unable to capitalize. Neither team would make much noise offensively until UT-Dallas recorded the final run of the game in the fourth for the 2-0 win.
GAME TWO: L, 5-4
 
In game two, the Comets took a 3-0 lead early on, until CTX began to chip away at the lead in the fifth inning.
 
Andrea Salinas put the Tornados on the board bringing home 
Mindy Matthews in the second. In the top of the fifth, 
Kylie Denaro hit a sacrifice fly RBI to score in 
Myranda Billman keeping CTX alive, 2-4. 
 
The Tornados were able to even the score in the top of the seventh when Kylie 
Pavlicek hit up the middle, securing two RBIs and returning Denaro and Ayala to home, 4-4. Ultimately, the Comets posted the walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh to earn the game two victory. 
 
Concordia Texas will close out the series with the Comets on Saturday, April 1 at 12 p.m.
