ABILENE, Texas- The Concordia Texas Softball team closed out the weekend set at McMurry University, falling 2-6 in the series finale. Megan Hooper and Zaleigh Perez both posted RBI doubles at Edwards Field on Saturday.

Hooper hit a double towards right field and brought home Perez to open up the scoring in the second inning. In the top of the forth, the Tornados extended the lead to 2-0 when Perez found the gap to left centerfield. McMurry found life offensively when they recorded three runs each in the fifth and sixth frames, as they would hold off Concordia for a 6-2 victory.

Concordia Texas will now return home for the home series finale where they will host Howard Payne starting Friday, April 28. The doubleheader is slated to being at 4 p.m.
