BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Concordia Texas baseball team was downed 13-2 in the regular season finale at Howard Payne. Mason Vasquez and Shawn Huber scored at Don Shepard Park on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 lead after the first, but CTX cut the deficit in half when Kalen Clark doubled to right centerfield and brought home Vasquez in the top of the third. Howard Payne answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame. 

Concordia made it a 6-2 game when Huber capitalized on a passed ball in the fourth, but the Yellowjackets responded with  another four runs. They would then add on three more in the the fifth and sixth for the run-rule win.

Concordia Texas will now travel to Marshall, Texas for the ASC Championship Tournament, hosted by ETBU beginning on May 4. Their opponent is TBD.
