GARDNER-BOGGS FIELD
Built in 2010, Gardner-Boggs Field is home to the Concordia Texas baseball team. Since its opening, it has been witness to three American Southwest Conference Tournament Championships for the Tornados, coming in 2012, 2019, & 2024. It has also hosted multiple ASC Tournament First Rounds and Championship Rounds, as well as the 2013 NCAA Division III West Regional.
The state-of-the-art complex features a FieldTurf surface, which was redone prior to the 2020 season. The stadium holds 1,100 spectators in the covered grandstands and includes nearly 300 chairback seats.
Concordia won its inaugural game at Gardner-Boggs Field against Schreiner, a 5-2 decision on April 17, 2010.
MILESTONES AT GARDNER-BOGGS FIELD
#1 - April 17, 2010 - Concordia defeated Schreiner, 5-2, in the inaugural game at Tornado Field
#36 - May 6, 2012 - CTX topped McMurry, 7-2, to capture the ASC Tournament championship and advance to its second straight NCAA Division III Regional
#50 - April 27, 2013 - The Tornados blanked Texas-Dallas, 5-0, to clinch the ASC Tournament First Round and advance to their third consecutive ASC Tournament Championship Round
#75 - Feb. 28, 2015 - Concordia posted an 8-3 win over Louisiana College to complete a sweep of a three-game ASC series
#100 - Mar. 12, 2016 - CTX upset then-No. 16 UT Tyler, 6-1, to open up a three-game set. The Tornados later went on to take two of three contests in the series.
#125 - April 22, 2017 - CTX completes a sweep of Hardin-Simmons, defeating the Cowboys 7-1 in the series finale.
#150 - March 29, 2019 - CTX knocks off UT Dallas 7-5 in the second game of a doubleheader to win the series over the Comets.
#175 - April 27, 2021 - CTX sweeps Southwestern in a non-conference doubleheader, taking down the Pirates 9-6.
January 24, 2023 - Tornado Field is officially renamed Gardner-Boggs Field to honor former skippers, Mike Gardner & Tommy Boggs.
#225 - March 22, 2024 - CTX upended Hardin-Simmons, winning the conference matchup by a score of 9-1.
GARDNER-BOGGS FIELD POLICIES
Pets are not allowed
Service animals are permitted with appropriate paperwork
Coolers and outside food/drink is not allowed
Gum and sunflower seeds are not allowed on the playing field
Spectators must enter by the ticket booth, which is located on the right-field side of the stadium

WILLIAMS FAMILY CLUBHOUSE
Built and completed in 2020, prior to the 2021 season, the Williams Family Clubhouse is home to the Concordia Texas baseball program. The clubhouse officially opened and named on Oct. 23, 2021 and is named after the Williams Family, who provided continuous support of the Tornados at all home and away games and their generous donations to the program. The clubhouse features a fully-equipped weight room with dumbbells and barbell racks, a locker room for the past and present players of the program, coaches offices, a conference room and an enclosed bullpen area.
