RICHARDSON, Texas- The Concordia Texas volleyball team fought hard in a five-set, nail biting loss against UT Dallas. The Tornados claimed set one and set three and Presley Bunting (20 digs, 13 kills) notched her first career double-double on Friday. 

In the beginning of set one of the matches, a kill by Rayna Pack sparked a 5-0 burst for the Tornados to take the lead, 5-3. After back-to-back scores errors made by UTD lit another 5-0 run which then eventually ended with a kill by Olivia Robinson to claim set one for the the Tornados.

In set two CTX manage to cut in the deficit with a kill by Haylee Diebel to bring the score 17-22 but Concordia would only score 2 more scores for the final points of the set. The Tornados started set three of the matchups offensively strong securing a 6-2 lead. Another rally of back-to-back scores took place until four kills in a row by CTX sparked a 13 to 3 burst. Bunting powered in a kill to secure the final points for the Tornados in set three, 25-21.

In set four CTX fell 12-25 to push for the last set. With the fifth set taking place both teams scored back-to-back im a very competitive matchup. A kill by Pack cut the deficit for the Tornados 13-14 but would end up being the last points for CTX to fall in set five.

The Tornados will continue on the road to San Antonio to take on Trinity University on Oct. 4th at 5 pm inside Calgaard Gym.
