Men's Soccer Outclasses ETBU

Goalkeeper Brock Hendrickson earned his first clean sheet of the season.

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team moved to 2-0 in conference play after dominating East Texas Baptist University by a score of 2-0. Antonio Rios & Paul Claffey scored for the Tornados, while junior keeper Brock Hendrickson earned his first clean sheet of the season at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Saturday.

The Tornados were in possession of the ball for the majority of the game as they fired 26 shots (13 on goal) compared to only four shots (one on goal) for the Tigers.

CTX was the better team for the entirety of the first half, but had no goals to show for it until a lob from Steven Dolan found Rios for a header with 30 seconds left in the intermission. Fresh off a counter attack, Theo Givens connected with Claffey for a score in the 66th minute. The Tornados would go on to comfortably cruise to victory.

Concordia Texas will now hit the road for Alpine, Texas next Thursday, October 5th at 3:30 p.m.
