BOX SCORE ALPINE, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team outlasted the Sul Ross State University Lobos by a score of 1-0. The Tornados' defense tallied their second straight clean sheet and Theo Givens headed in the game winner with a corner from Christian Barillas in the 47th minute. 

The Tornados outshot the Lobos 15-4. Both teams battled and jockeyed for position throughout the first half with neither team breaking through at the break.

CTX came out aggressively in the opening minutes of the second as their pressure forced a corner kick. Barillas then lobbed the corner over the keeper's outstretched arms and found Fivens for the score. 

Concordia Texas will now remain on the road and resume ASC action against Howard Payne on Brownwood, Texas on Saturday, October 7th at 3:30 p.m.
