ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team was downed by a score of 3-1 against the University of St. Thomas. Senior forward Jose Aguirre scored for the Tornados at the RRMPC on Sunday.

The Tornados were put at a disadvantage almost immediately when a controversial red card was given in the eighth minute. 

CTX would have their best chance when a foul was played as an advantage with a streaking Theo Givens forced a corner in the 29th. The Celts would break through with a pair of goals in the 32nd & 33rd for a 2-0 lead entering the half. 

St. Thomas added a third goal in the 58th, but Concordia reached the scoreboard on a penalty kick by Aguirre just a minute later. Aguirre then almost tacked on another goal in the 62nd but a great save by the keeper kept the score 3-1. As action progressed, the score remained the same as the Celts held for the victory.

Concordia Texas will next head to Shreveport to take on Centenary this Friday at 5pm.
