Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Jose Aguirre Belts a Hat Trick in Win Over Centenary

Aguirre fired the game winner in the 81st minute.

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - In a physical & spirited affair, the Concordia Texas men's soccer team defeated Centenary College by a score of 3-2 on the road. Jose Aguirre scored all three goals, including the PK game-winner at Atkins Field on Friday.

CTX doubled up the Gents in shot attempts at 22-10 (10-6 shots on goal). The Tornados struck first with back-to-back goals by Aguirre in the 36th & 37th.

Coming out of halftime, Centenary scored in the 54th & 62nd to tie up the game. In the 80th, an offensive run saw Bryan Rios get fouled in the box for a penalty kick where Aguirre would calmly tap in the ball for the score. With only a little more than nine minutes left in the game, the Tornados would hold strong for the victory.

Concordia Texas will next head to Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks this Sunday at 1pm.
