ABILENE, Texas - The Concordia Texas volleyball team swept Centenary College in straight sets for the second win in a row. Malarie Mican collected a double-double to help lead the charge at Kimbrell Arena on Sunday. 

CTX led 16-13 before using four-straight to gain separation. Leading 22-18 later in the set, an ace by Jordan Bruscato capped off the dominant first game for the Tornados.

Concordia kept up their momentum as they surged ahead to an 11-2 lead, which highlighted by a pair of emphatic kills by Camryn Parker. With Concordia up 22-13, a late rally by the Ladies made it a 22-21 score. CTX would rebound with the final three points of the set to go up two sets to none.

It was a back and forth third set, Concordia was up 23-22. A set up by Selena Cooper for a Mican kill put CTX one point away from victory. They would then secure the sweep with an attack error by Centenary.

Concordia Texas will next head up the road to Georgetown to take on Southwestern next Friday at 6pm.
