Women's Soccer Dominates in 2-0 Win Over Centenary

Patricia Heckendorn and Lorian Lopez scored for the Tornados on Friday.

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - In a dominant effort, the Concordia Texas women's soccer team powered their way to a 2-0 victory over Centenary College. Patricia Heckendorn & Lorian Lopez scored at Atkins Field on Friday. 

Concordia exhibited another level of class as they launched 25 total shots to the Ladies only having one. CTX broke free when a through pass led to Heckendorn scoring her sixth goal of the season in the 23rd minute. 

Coming out of the half with multiple scoring opportunities, the Tornados added the insurance in the 68th when Lopez belted the ball past a defender and the goalkeeper. With time winding down, Sheridan Habeeb and the CTX defenders earned another clean sheet on the season. 

Concordia Texas will next head to Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks this Sunday at 3:30pm.
