Joshua Redding Breaks All-Time Wins Record in Men's Soccer's Victory over Schreiner

Redding earned his 22nd victory, while Jose Aguirre scored twice on Friday.

ROUND ROCK, Texas - It was a historic night where goalkeeper Joshua Redding earned his 22nd career win to become the program's all-time wins leader in a 3-1 victory over Schreiner University. Jose Aguirre tallied two goals, while Theo Givens also scored at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Thursday.

Givens notched his sixth goal of the season in the 12th minute when him and Ronaldo Guzman connected on a give & go. Aguirre put the Tornados up 2-0 in the 28th when he weaved towards the middle of the field and belted a laser into the back of the net.

The Mountaineers responded almost immediately after the half with a goal in 50th. With both teams searching for the next crucial goal, it came for CTX in the 82nd when Aguirre was fouled in the box & capitalized on a penalty kick. This would be enough to help Concordia earn the conference win.

Concordia Texas will next host 24th-ranked Trinity this Sunday at 5pm.
