ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team was bested in a 2-1 contest against Trinity University. Senior forward Jose Aguirre notched his third goal of the weekend at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Sunday.
The Tornados struck first in the 19th when a shot on goal by Alejandro Rojas bounced to the feet of Aguirre who then hammered the goal in the upper right. As that was the lone goal of the first half, the Tornados led 1-0 coming out of the intermission.
The Tigers knotted the game up in the 57th. With plenty of time left in the match, both teams searched for the decisive goal. It came in the 83rd for Trinity as that would be the final goal of the evening.
Concordia Texas will now shift their focus to sixth-ranked Colorado College next Friday at 7pm.
