AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team was bested by a score of 93-83 against LeTourneau University. Junior big Deon Williams posted a season-high 14 rebounds, while second-year guard Corey Thompson tallied a team-best 14 points inside the CTX Fieldhouse on Saturday.

LeTourneau came out on fire to claim an early 22-11 lead. Playing catch up, the Tornados would even the score up at 30-all following a layup by Ciro Baeza with just under four minutes left. With the score tied 38-38 with 1:28 remaining in the first, a 7-2 burst by the Yellowjackets gave them a 45-40 lead entering the break. 

LeTourneau would have the momentum to begin the second half as they would extend their lead to as much as 24 points at the 6:33 mark. Concordia's defense would stiffen up as they would hold the Yellowjackets to only seven more points for the remainder of the game, but their comeback effort would fall short.

Concordia Texas will next travel to Belton, Texas for a rematch against UMHB next Thursday, December 5th. Tip off is set for 7:30pm.
