RICHARDSON,Texas-  The Concordia Texas men's basketball team was upended by a score of 79-95 against UT Dallas. Concordia junior guard Donovan Stafford scored his 1000^th career point and led the team in scoring with 25 points on Saturday evening.
 
Tornado junior guard Adolfo Martinez opened up the matchup with a three-pointer to put CTX first on the board. Both teams traded buckets offensively approaching midway through the first half.
 
Freshman Corey Thompson drills in back-to-back 3 pointers to spark a 8-0 run for the Tornados. The remainder of the first half stayed competitive on both sides of the ball until the final seconds before break, UTD went on a 5-2 run to take the lead.
 
Both teams would tally runs for the remainder of the game until the Comets ultimately began to stretch the lead and go onto claim the contest, 95-79.
 
The Concordia Texas men's basketball team will host Hardin-Simmons University inside Concordia Fieldhouse on February 15 at 7:30 PM.
