RICHARDSON,Texas- The Concordia women's basketball team came up short against UT Dallas 65-49. Concordia sophomore guard
Jordan Bravo posted a team-high of 23 points inside UTD Activity Center on Saturday.
The Comets used a 23-0 burst to take the lead in the first quarter with CTX looking to find a rhythm offensively. Approaching the final seconds in the first Bravo drilled in a deep third to ignite some momentum for the Tornados.
Immediately to open the second, CTX fired in three more three-pointers in a row to cut into the deficit and make it an eleven-point game. Ticking down to the final seconds before the break, Bravo draws a foul and sinks in both free throws for her 11th point.
UTD started the second half on a 9-0 burst until another three pointer by Bravo halted the run. The Comets would continue to have control throughout the remaining of the match and would go on to claim the win, 65-49.
The Concordia Texas women's basketball team will travel back home to host Hardin-Simmons University inside Concordia Fieldhouse on February 15 at 5:30 PM.
