HOUSTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas softball team split a pair of games in a doubleheader against the University of St. Thomas. 
Grace Coleman, 
Ellie Congalton, 
Kylie Kirk and 
Molly Olivarez all homered, while the Tornados scored 22 runs on Saturday.
GAME ONE: W, 12-9
With the bases loaded, Olivarez was walked to score 
Emily Schmuck in the first inning. A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second tied up the game but not for long as Congalton slammed a two-RBI homer in the third. 
Two runs and a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth gave St. Thomas a 7-3 lead. CTX once again responded with seven runs in the fifth, highlighted by a two-RBI bomb by Olivarez. The Tornados added two more runs in the sixth for a 12-7 lead, before claiming the 12-9 game one win.

GAME TWO: L, 16-10
With two runners on base, Kirk powered the third homerun of the day to score Coleman and 
Kylie Denaro for a 3-1 lead in the first. The lead was then extended to 6-0 thanks to RBIs from 
Emma Chavez, Kirk and 
Addison Lehew.
Denaro doubled to centerfield to score 
Kylie Woods then Coleman homered to bring her around the bases to make it 10-1 going into the bottom of the third. The Celts' bats would then get hot as they scored 11 runs over the next two innings to take a 12-10 lead. They would score four more to draw even in the grudge match.
