CONWAY, Arkansas - In the opening match of the Hendrix Invitational, the Concordia Texas volleyball team was downed 3-0 against UMHB. Camryn Parker & Brooklynne Fitzgerald (three aces) posted a team-high 7 kills inside Grove Gymasium on Saturday.

With the match tied 20-20 late in set one, the Crusaders scored five of the last six points to claim the set. They then held a slim 15-13 lead in game two when a 9-1 run gave them the cushion to ultimately go up two sets. 

With the Tornados trailing 22-16, they made a valiant comeback effort with a 5-2 run, but it would fall short as UMHB won set three 25-20.

Concordia Texas will now take on Rhodes College later today in match two of the Hendrix Invitational at 5pm.
