ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team blanked Nelson University by a score of 2-0. Freshmen Emma Payne & Avery Walker both scored, while senior goalkeeper Lora Tresco posted her first clean sheet of the season inside the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Tuesday.

The Tornados controlled the tempo as they out fired the Lady Lions 18-9 (10-2 shots on goal). Immediately on the attack, Concordia forced a corner in the first minute of the match. They would then score when Payne got a shot off in the box that ricocheted off a defender and into the net. 

CTX would get seven more shots on goal, but would take a 1-0 lead into the break. Later in the 79th, Erin Folkner fed Walker in the middle of the field who soared the ball into the middle left of the goal for insurance as CTX would secure the victory. 

Concordia Texas will next travel to Belton, Texas to take on UMHB in a rematch this Thursday, September 26th at 7pm.
