BELTON, Texas - In a rematch from earlier in the season, the Concordia Texas women's soccer team was bested by a score of 3-1 against UMHB. Forward Patricia Heckendorn netted her third goal of the season at Cru Soccer Field on Thursday.
After the Tornados forced a corner early in the match, Heckendorn capitalized in the box when she fired the goal for the first score in the fourth minute. Just a minute later, the Crusaders tied the match.
As both teams had multiple opportunities to score, Concordia's best chance came late in the 39th when Kallie Krenz & Emma Visser blasted on-goal shots that were both narrowly saved.
Coming out of the half, UMHB scored their next two goals in the 59th & 67th minutes to secure the victory.Â
Concordia Texas will now prepare for their conference slate where they will next host Schreiner on Friday, October 4th. First kick is slated for 7:30pm.
