RICHARDSON, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team outdueled the University of Dallas by a score of 1-0.
Tatum Winn found
Karis Hickey for the game winner, while Concordia produced their third clean sheet of the season on Friday.
In what was a close battle throughout the entirety of the match, the Tornados only allowed two shots on goal. Midway through the first half, CTX seemed to have taken the lead when a lob pass over the middle found
Maddie Oberholtzer for a goal but the AR would rule her offsides.
Concordia would record three solid shot attempts in the first five minutes of the second half as
Payton Matthews, Hickey, &
Kayla Yancey all tallied attempts.
CTX would break through in the 58th when a corner kick from Winn found the foot of Hickey. The Tornados would not allow anymore shots on goal as they would go on to claim the conference victory.
Concordia Texas will next return home to host Schreiner University next Friday, October 17th. Kick off is set for 5pm.
