COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team earned a entertaining 1-1 draw at Colorado College.
Conner Rodgers fired the equalizer in the 90th minute at Stewart Field on Sunday.
The Tigers struck early in the 10th with a corner kick. Looking to respond a few minutes later, a shot by
Alejandro Rojas was on target but saved by Colorado's keeper.
CTX would have another solid attempt on goal in the 40th when Rodgers powered towards the lower left, but the ball would be saved.
Pressing for the equalizer, Concordia dominated possession in the second half. They got off a total of four shots in the final three minutes.
Colorado's keeper would turn over the ball with less than a minute remaining for time wasting. Playing the ball fast with only 30 seconds left,
Alejandro Rojas put the ball in play to Rodgers who netted the goal to earn the draw.
Concordia Texas will next return home to host Schreiner University next Friday, October 17th. Kick off is set for 7:30pm.
