ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team blanked the University of St. Thomas in a 3-0 triumph. The Tornados launched all three goals in a span of 10 minutes in the second half at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Friday.
In a see-saw affair in the first half, the Tornados would seemingly score a goal on a cross from Steven Dolan to Alejandro Rojas that would be called offsides in the 22nd.Â
The Celts would have a point-blank shot at the net that would be deflected just outside of the goal in the 44th to keep the match scoreless at the break.
Concordia would break free in the 61st on a counter attack where Tyler Kenny found Ivan Essis.Â
Two minutes later, a throw in from Julian McCord resulted in a flick from Kenny to Jesse Garfias who hammered the goal on the back left of the net.
The final goal would come via free kick when Will Lancaster connected in the same place from just outside the edge of the box in the 69th as CTX would go on to cruise to victory.
Concordia Texas will next travel to Shreveport, Louisiana to take on Centenary College this Sunday, October 26th. Kick off is set for 2:30pm.
