ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw with the Hendrix College Warriors. Luis Pineda scored his first career goal, while Bryan Rios launched the equalizer at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Friday.

Concordia opened up the pressure early with a leadoff lob over the top from Steven Dolan that would see Ivan Essis with a free shot that missed just high in the second minute.

Hendrix would respond with the lone goal of the first half in the eighth. They would then notch their second goal right out the intermission in 47th.

Concordia would come to life just five minutes later when a corner kick rummage found Pineda for a score. Later in the 68th, CTX notched the equalizer when a saved shot attempt by Edmone Elone ricocheted to Rios.

The Tornados would then have another chance when a through ball from Irvin Martinez connected with Tyler Kenny who tapped the shot high of goal in the 86th as the match would end in a draw.

Concordia Texas will next travel to Clarksville, Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks October 5th. Kick off is set for 2:30pm.
