SEGUIN, Texas - Closing out the SCAC Crossover hosted by Texas Lutheran, the Concordia Texas volleyball team fell by a score of 3-1 against LeTourneau University. The Tornados claimed the first set inside Memorial Gymnasium on Sunday.
Concordia got off to a hot start with a 16-13 lead. They would then rattle off eight straight points to get help win the first set, 25-15.
Both teams traded points for a 10-9 score early in the second set when the Yellowjackets finished the set on a 15-3 flurry.Â
In set three, an Amaya Horton kill punctuated a 16-8 run for Concordia. With CTX up 23-19 late in the set, LeTourneau rallied to escape with a 27-25 victory.Â
Both teams traded points in set four as the score was knotted at 18-all late. LeTourneau would then win the game with a 7-1 burst for the series victory.
Concordia Texas will next return home to host Texas Lutheran University & the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor this Friday, October 10th. First serve against TLU is scheduled for 5pm.
