ABILENE, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team used a strong second half to surge past Hardin-Simmons University with a 107-96 win. Four Tornados reached double figures inside Mabee Complex on Tuesday.
In a first half where both teams traded big runs, Concordia came out the gate fast for an 18-point advantage at the 10:35 mark. The Cowboys responded quickly as they would reclaim the lead with just over three minutes remaining in the first half. Their lead would grow to five points & Hardin-Simmons took a 54-52 lead in to the break.Â
It was back and forth early in the second half as the game consisted of 10 lead changes and five ties. Late in the game with a little of six minutes remaining, Cameron Thompson found Joey Ramirez in the corner for a three to extend the Tornados' lead to 93-86. This would help jump start a Concordia's run to help push their lead back to double digits en route to the victory.

Concordia Texas will next head home to host Arlington Baptist next Tuesday, November 25th. Tip off is set for 6pm.
