AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team conquered Austin College by a score of 88-77 for the sixth consecutive win in conference play. Aaron San Miguel posted a career-high 29 points inside the Deb & Don Christian Fieldhouse on Saturday.
Austin College held a slight 20-19 lead before going on a 8-0 burst with 5:30 left. Concordia would find life towards the end of the first half with an offensive putback by Almamy Diaby capping off the half with a 17-5 run by the Tornados for a 36-34 lead.
The Roos led 55-54 when CTX surged ahead with a 9-0 run. Austin would make it a one-score game at 71-68 with 4:47 left, but San Miguel fed a cutting Donovan Stafford to push the lead back up to five. This would be the closest the game would be as Concordia pushed ahead for the double-digit victory.
