AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team was bested by a score of 96-89 on the road against McMurry University. Joey Ramirez posted game-highs of 33 points & 15 rebounds inside Kimbrell Arena on Tuesday.
The Warhawks gained control early as their lead reached double-digits at 31-20 with 7:52 remaining in the first half. With both teams in search of a run, neither would budge as McMurry led 50-37 at the half on 54 percent shooting.
Their advantage reached as much as 16 points before Concordia led a charge as Ramirez knocked down a three to cut their deficit back to single digits with 16:24 left to play.Â
Both teams would trade baskets until a late rally by Concordia saw them get within three points and possession with just under a minute remaining. A questionable offensive foul would be called, & the Warhawks would convert a three to pull away for the win.Â
