AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas softball team x was bested by a score of 15-7 against St. Thomas. Kylie Kirk powered her first homer of the season in the series opener on Friday.
Kirk's three-run shot came in the first the ball soared past centerfield to score Malarie Mican & Kylie Denaro. The Celts would match the Tornaods with nine runs of their own in the bottom of the first.Â
Responding immediately in the top of the second, the Tornados loaded the bases before Mayson Post collected a RBI-walk. They then cut the deficit down to 9-6 with a two-RBI single by Molly Olivarez.
Post would then earn another RBI by scoring Grace Coleman in the top of the third for a 9-7 score. The Celts would record six more runs in the bottom of the third as these would be the final runs of the game.
