AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas softball team opened up the series with a pair of wins in a doubleheader against the University of the Ozarks. Kylie Kirk posted nine strikeouts in game one; which tied the second most in program history. Mayson Post shined in game two with a two-hitter as the duo combined for 15 strikeouts at Roberts Family Field on Friday.
GAME ONE: W, 8-0 (6 Innings)
The Tornados struck first with back to back RBI-doubles by Kirk & Molly Olivarez in the fourth. Adding insurance in the fifth, Kylie Denaro smacked a RBI-single up the middle to score Ariana Murray. 
At the next at bat, Kirk would collect a RBI-single to centerfield and assist Malarie Mican home. Addison Lehew would then put the ball in play and score Denaro for a 5-0 lead heading into the sixth.
Continuing to do more damage in the sixth, Pavlicek scored Grace Coleman & a Mican sac bunt scored Taylor Smrt. CTX would then load the bases and a RBI-walk for Lehew would cross Pavlicek for the walk-off, run-rule score.

GAME TWO: W, 7-0
Post was electric as she was two outs away from a perfect game. Concordia would also score first in game two as Mayson Post singled to right field to score Olivarez from second. They would add another run in the fourth when a Pavlicek sac fly rounded Harley Drouillard home.
Serving double duty once again, Post laid down a beautiful bunt-single that brought home Kirk for a 3-0 lead in the sixth. Putting in the offensive dagger later in the frame was Pavlicek who launched a two-RBI double off the wall to make it 5-0. CTX would then plate two more runs in the inning for a 7-0 lead as those would be the final runs of the game to secure the victory.
