WHITNEY, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's golf team is currently tied for sixth at the SCAC Championships.
Parker Smith (76, +4) is tied for fourth overall to lead the way through 18 at the White Bluff Resort.
Smith started strong as he birdied on two and eagled on five as he was -4 and in first through the first nine holes. Also cracking the top 15 was
CJ Reitmeyer, who had a steady day of 81.
Kaden English, who is tied for 24th with a score of 83, had a hot stretch where he birdied three out of four holes on 6-9. Fourth for the Tornados in scoring is
Koke Dolce, who shot an 86.
Rounding out the scoring for the men is
Jack Mara at 43rd as he birdied on 10 & 16 at the course on his way to shooting a 92.
Paige Zehner represented the Tornados in the women's tournament. She is currently tied for 37th with a first-round score of 107.
Concordia Texas will look to move up the leaderboard in day two tommorow.
