SUWANEE, Ga. - Concordia Texas men's golfer
Kaden English has been named the SCAC men's golfer of the week, the league's office announced on Wednesday. English is the first men's golfer to win conference Golfer of the Week since
Parker Smith won the award in March of 2024 as a member of the ASC.
English led Concordia to a second-place team finish at the Schreiner Spring Shootout this week after staking claim to a second-place individual finish, the highest among any SCAC athlete in the field.
After firing an opening round 71 (-1), English posted a two-round total of 146 (+3) with a second round of 75 (+4) to finish second out of the 49 player field.
English finished the week third in Par 5 scoring (4.63), tied for second with 24 pars and his five birdies were tied for the sixth most among the competition.

English and Concordia Texas will next travel to Houston, Texas to compete in the Space City Classic on March 9-10. The two-round tourney is hosted by the University of St. Thomas and will be at the Gus Wortham Park Golf Course.
