BELTON, Texas - The Concordia Texas women's soccer team opened up the season on the road with a 1-0 loss at UMHB. Senior goalkeeper
Avery Wright notched a first half clean sheet as the the Crusaders netted the lone goal of the match in the second half Tiger Stadium on Friday.
Both teams stood tall defensively in the first half. The Tornados had a solid scoring opportunity in the 27th when a shot by
Tatum Winn streaked down the middle but was saved.Â
With the score knotted at 0-0 coming out the break, the Crusaders were able to break free for the long game winner in the 70th.Â
Concordia Texas will look to bounce back in the home opener this Monday where they will host Southwestern. Kick off is set for 5pm.
