Concordia Controls All Four Quarters in 87–74 Win Over Ozarks

Brown’s 29-point double-double fuels Tornados’ first SCAC victory at home

AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women's basketball team put together its most complete performance of the season on Saturday afternoon, powering past the University of the Ozarks 87–74 inside the Deb & Don Christian Fieldhouse to earn its first SCAC win.

The Tornados established their rhythm early, edging ahead 21–19 after the opening quarter before stretching the lead to 45–37 at halftime behind efficient shooting and strong ball movement. CTX continued to build momentum in the third, outscoring the Eagles 20–16, and closed the door in the fourth with timely scoring and defensive stops.

Junior forward Shanna Brown delivered a dominant performance, posting 29 points and a career-best 16 rebounds while shooting 12–20 from the field. Her presence on the glass fueled a CTX team that finished with 43 total rebounds and 25 second chance points.

Katelyn Tietjen added 16 points, knocking down three triples and providing steady perimeter scoring, while Zoiey Jumawan contributed 11 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals in an all‑around performance. Taysie Trejo supplied 15 points and 4 steals off the bench, and Aja Holmes added a spark with 8 points and two made threes.
