SHREVEPORT, Louisiana. – The Concordia Texas men's basketball team used a dominant second‑half push to secure an 82–77 victory over Centenary on Thursday night inside the Gold Dome. Senior guard Joey Ramirez erupted for 31 points — including 27 in the second half — to keep the Tornados perfect in conference play.
Early in the first half, CTX found its rhythm through Jaiden Gastile, who knocked down a three and scored nine points before the break. The Tornados held a narrow 36–34 halftime lead despite Centenary's efficient shooting from Dontarius Coleman, who tallied 16 first‑half points.
Concordia came out of the locker room with urgency, leaning heavily on Ramirez's scoring burst. The senior caught fire from all levels, drilling back‑to‑back threes and attacking the rim to fuel a 14–4 run that pushed CTX ahead by double digits.
Centenary clawed back, trimming the deficit to three in the final minute. But the Tornados' composure at the line and Ramirez's relentless scoring kept them from completing the comeback. CTX finished 18–22 at the stripe and forced 20 turnovers to seal the road win.
