SEGUIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team (9-2, 2-0 SCAC) used a strong second half effort to surge past Texas Lutheran University (5-6, 0-2 SCAC) for a 107-100 win & remain unbeaten in conference play. Five Tornados reached double figures and freshman guard Tremayne Martin collected a career-high six steals inside Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Early in the first half, Joey Ramirez found Aaron San Miguel in the corner for a three to put CTX up 11-9. This would mark the last time in the first half that Concordia led as the Bulldogs led by as much as nine points. 

Texas Lutheran led by six late in the first, before an Anariss Brandon sidestep three at the horn cut the deficit to 48-45. Concordia came out of the intermission as the aggressors with a 22-11 burst that was capped off with a steal by Tariq Muhammad that resulted in a Ramirez three-pointer.

The Bulldogs would inch their way back to tie the game at 71-all with just over 11 minutes to go, but a driving layup by San Miguel put the Tornados back up as they would not trail for the remainder of the game.

Concordia upped their lead to as much as 12 points (97-85) with only four minutes left. TLU reduced the lead to four points, but solid free throw shooting would ice the game for CTX.
