COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Concordia Texas men's basketball team survived a wire‑to‑wire battle on the road, outlasting Colorado College 95–92 inside Reid Arena on Friday evening. Behind a balanced offensive attack and a massive lift from the bench, the Tornados improved to 19–3 overall and 12–1 in SCAC play.
The matchup featured eight ties and nine lead changes, with neither team leading by more than a few possessions. After trailing 45–44 at halftime, CTX surged ahead behind efficient second‑half shooting, knocking down 54.3 percent of their attempts after the break.
Percy Green delivered a dominant performance off the bench, pouring in a game‑high 24 points on 10‑of‑14 shooting while adding seven rebounds. Joey Ramirez added 20 points, including a pair of threes and a perfect 4‑for‑4 at the line, while Aaron San Miguel posted a near double‑double with 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Tornados' depth proved decisive, outscoring the Tigers' bench 43–35 and generating 21 points off turnovers. CTX also controlled the paint with 48 interior points, countering Colorado College's transition-heavy attack.
In the closing minutes, Concordia held firm defensively and converted key free throws to maintain a two‑possession cushion. Colorado College's final push came up short as the Tornados closed out their 19th win of the season.
