BOX SCORE KERRVILLE, Texas - The Concordia Texas softball team was bested in a 9-2 contest on the road against Schreiner University. Aliyah Perez launched the first home run of her collegiate career at Moutaineer Softball Field on Friday.
In the top of the second, Perez hammered a solo shot to put CTX up 1-0. Schreiner answered by loading the bases in the bottom of the frame to go up 6-1.Â
Concordia cut into the deficit in the third with a RBI-single by Mia Post that scored Malarie Mican, but the Moutaineers responded with a run of their own to make it 7-2 going into the fourth. Schreiner would muster up two more runs to claim game one.
Concordia Texas & Schreiner will conclude the series with a doubleheader tomorrow, February 21st. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
