LONGVIEW, Texas - Concordia Texas junior forward Shanna Brown scored her 1,000th point in a 83-51 win over LeTourneau University. Brown, who spent her first two seasons at Chapman University, poured in a game-high 16 points inside Solheim Arena on Tuesday.

Concordia came out inspired, scoring the game's first seven points. LeTourneau would keep it close early, trimming the Tornados' lead to 20-18 at the end of the first frame.

CTX earned their first double-digit lead of the game when a Briann Warehime three upped their lead to 35-25 with 4:29 left in the first half. Concordia would then go into the intermission with a 41-28 lead when Alice Wilkinson fed Taysie Trejo for a score in the waning moments.

Both teams traded baskets to begin the third quarter, before Concordia broke the game open with a 15-4 run to end the quarter as they would go on to cruise to victory.

Concordia Texas will next return home to host the University of Dallas this Saturday for Senior Day. Tip off is scheduled for 6:30pm.
