AUSTIN, Texas – Concordia Texas continued its strong run through SCAC play on Saturday afternoon, using depth, pace, and a huge second half to defeat Dallas 96–79 inside the Deb & Don Christian Fieldhouse.
The Tornados set the tone early with defensive pressure and transition scoring, but Dallas hung tough behind efficient shooting and repeated trips to the free‑throw line. Concordia carried a narrow 42–38 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Tornados broke the game open. Concordia shot a blistering 62 percent from the field after the break and overwhelmed the Crusaders in transition, piling up 33 fast‑break points and 40 points off turnovers. The bench delivered one of its best performances of the season, outscoring Dallas' reserves 58–31 and providing the spark that pushed the lead into double digits for good.
Percy Green was unstoppable around the rim, pouring in 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting, while Joey Ramirez added 21 points and 6 rebounds to anchor the starting group. Ibrahima Diallo and Darone Leakes gave Concordia a major lift off the bench, combining for 16 points, while Silas Livingston and Tremayne Martin helped fuel the defensive pressure that turned the tide.
Dallas was led by Hadrian Reitsma's 19 points and Johny Olmsted's 18, but the Crusaders struggled to keep pace with Concordia's tempo and depth as the game wore on.
The win moves Concordia Texas to 17–3 overall and 10–1 in SCAC play, maintaining its position near the top of the conference standings.
