SUWANEE, Ga. - Zoiey Jumawan, a sophomore on the Concordia University Texas women's basketball team has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning March 2.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

A Business Administration major, Zoiey has quickly established herself as a servant leader within the Concordia Texas community. While balancing the demands of collegiate athletics and academics, she continues to dedicate time to meaningful service initiatives that positively impact those around her.

Zoiey has been actively involved in stewardship efforts at Bagdad Elementary School, assisting with campus projects and organizational efforts designed to support students and faculty. She has also volunteered at the Reveal Resource Center, helping organize donations and serve community members in need. Additionally, she has spent time engaging residents at Brookdale Assisted Living, participating in games and social activities that foster connection and encouragement.

Her commitment to service extends into her professional experiences as well. Through her work at Kids Place Daycare this past summer, Zoiey supervised and cared for children in a safe and nurturing environment. She assisted with daily activities, supported learning development, maintained classroom standards, and communicated with parents and staff to ensure the well-being of each child.

On the court, Zoiey embodies discipline, teamwork, and accountability. Off the court, she exemplifies compassion and intentional service. Her ability to balance athletics, academics, and community involvement reflects the core values of Concordia Texas and the SCAC.

The SCAC Character & Community Award honors student-athletes who demonstrate integrity, leadership, and a sustained commitment to serving others. Through her actions and dedication, Zoiey continues to represent the Tornados program and the Concordia Texas mission with excellence.
