BOX SCORE CLARKSVILLE, Arkansas - The Concordia Texas men's tennis team outlasted the University of the Ozarks in a 4-3 thriller on the road. Senior
Daniel Beckles gave a clutch performance as he clinched the team victory with a three-set win on line two.
After both teams split the first two doubles matches with
Aaron Griffin &
Kade Talbot winning on line two (6-2),
Steven Scholz and
Jake Riggs churned out a gritty 7-5 win to clinch the duos point.
In singles action, Scholz (6-2, 6-4 on line one) and Talbot (6-2, 7-5 on line four) tallied wins. Griffin performed well but fell just short in a three-set decision.
With the final match hanging in the balance, Beckles would conquer his opponent for the walk-off victory to give CTX their seventh consecutive win.
Concordia Texas will now remain in Arkansas to take on Hendrix College in the regular season finale. First serve is scheduled for 10am.
