AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia Texas softball team fell in a doubleheader with Texas Lutheran University.
Kylie Kirk and
Katie Bethke recorded two hits each, while
Madison Poe drove in a run at Roberts Family Field on Saturday.
In game one, the Tornados fell 12-1 as the Bulldogs struck early with seven runs across the first two innings and never looked back. Poe drove in Concordia's lone run in the fourth, while Kirk recorded two hits.
In game two, Texas Lutheran earned the series victory with an 11-0 win, scoring in four of the five innings. Concordia was limited to four hits, with Bethke collecting two.
Concordia Texas will next hit the road for Houston to take on the University of St. Thomas in a series starting next Friday, April 24th. First pitch is scheduled for 5pm.
