AS A JUNIOR
Started 35 games for the Tornados as a junior … batted .242 going 32 of 132 with 23 runs batted in. Started 13 games as a pitcher … lead the team with wins (10) and complete games (5) and second on the team in strike outs (58) … had a 10-4 record and a 6.26 earned run average.

AS A SOPHMORE
Started 28 games for the Tornados ... had 26 hits in 93 at-bats to give him a .280 average ... stated twelve games on the mound to pitch a total of 75 innings ... totaled 47 strikeouts on the season ... posted a .863 fielding percentage on the season ... scored a team high 4 runs a game vs. East Texas Baptist (02/24/07) ... named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention team at third base and at pitcher.
 
AS A FRESHMAN
Started 30 games for Concordia, appearing in three more … posted 30 hits, including five for extra bases, in 104 at-bats to give him a .288 average … committed only six errors at third base, good for a .914 fielding percentage … named ASC West Division Co-Freshman of the Year and honorable mention All-ASC West Division. 

BEFORE CONCORDIA
Four-year letterman for Dripping Springs … earned honorable mention all-district honors after his sophomore and junior seasons … named academic all-district after his sophomore year … tabbed the District 25-4A MVP and first-team all-state after his senior campaign … selected to the THSBCA All-State team.

Full name is Stephen Andrew Szkotak … born August 18, 1987 in Austin, Texas … is the son of Jim and Cheryl Szkotak … has one sister, Kristen (16) … majoring in Kinesiology.
