2012:
Made 14 appearances and 13 starts as a junior … Was named the Male Distinguished Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the team’s Distinguished Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the 2012 CTX Athletics Banquet … Also landed on the American Southwest Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll … Finished the year with a 2-1 ledger and a 2.55 ERA … Struck out 31 batters and only issued 11 walks in 53 innings of work … Tied for fifth in the league in games started … Picked up first victory of the season by yielding six hits and one run, which was earned over 5.1 frames in an 8-2 triumph over Howard Payne (3/12) … Also struck out three and did not walk a batter … Threw four shutout innings and posted a season-high five strikeouts in a 2-0 victory against Schreiner (4/6) … Notched second win of the season in a 10-0 decision against McMurry (4/14), hurling five scoreless innings and striking out three batters while surrendering three hits.
2011:
Appeared in 15 games and made 14 starts as a sophomore … Was named the ASC West Division Pitcher of the Year and earned a place on the All-ASC West Division First Team as well as the ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team … Made the ASC All-Tournament Team, the ASC Spring Academic Honor Roll and was awarded the squad’s Pitcher of the Year Award at the 2012 CTX Athletics Banquet … Garnered Capital One Academic All-District Second Team laurels ... Named ASC West Division Pitcher of the Week on March 28 … Posted a 9-3 ledger and a 3.72 ERA … Went the distance three times and struck out 61 opposing hitters while only issuing 16 walks over 96.2 innings of work … Finished tied for first in the league in wins, tied for first in games started and was second in the conference in innings pitched as well as seventh in strikeouts … Went 24 consecutive innings without issuing a walk, beginning in a 13-6win over East Texas Baptist (2/25) … Struck out seven hitters and picked up first win of the season against the Tigers … Also began a streak of winning seven straight Friday night starts … Threw seven scoreless innings to pick up the victory in a 7-0 shutout of Ozarks (3/4) … Yielded only three hits and struck out five without issuing a walk … Hurled a complete game in an 8-2 victory over Howard Payne (3/18), which included striking out seven and not issuing a free pass to first ... Went the distance and recorded six strikeouts in a 3-1 win against Hardin-Simmons (3/25) … Was the winning pitcher in a 1-0 victory over McMurry (5/6) in the Tornados’ first game of the ASC Championship Series … Picked up another postseason win by throwing eight innings in a 12-6 triumph over 12th-ranked Redlands at the NCAA West Regional.
2010:
Made 12 appearances and eight starts as a freshman Was named the ASC West Division Pitcher of the Week on March 23 tied for second in the league for shutouts (1) … Registered a 4-6 ledger and a 7.43 ERA … Fanned 39 opposing hitters and threw two complete games … Picked up a victory in first collegiate appearance by striking out three and walking none in two innings of relief in a 9-5 triumph over Southwestern (2/6) … Went the distance for the first time as a collegian by throwing a shutout in a 1-0 win over Sul Ross State (3/21) … Struck out six and yielded six hits against the Lobos … Fanned another six batters over 6.2 frames in a 5-3 road victory at Hardin-Simmons (3/27) … Set a career high with eight strikeouts in six innings of work at Mary Hardin-Baylor (4/10).
