• a two-way player, who pitched and played infield in his first year with the Tornados
• on the mound, he appeared in 15 games, including 13 as a starter
• posted an 8-3 record with a ASC-best 1.34 ERA
• logged 80.1 innings, while striking out 69 hitters and holding the opposition to a .237 batting average
• posted a team-high eight complete games
• in his 13 starts, he limited the opposition to two runs or less 12 times
• fanned a season-high with batters in only 4.2 stanzas against Southwestern (Feb. 8)
• struck out seven and scattered six hits while limiting Louisiana College to only one run in a complete-game victory (March 1)
• hurled a nine-inning complete game, giving up only one run and fanning seven in a win over rival Mary Hardin-Baylor (May 8)

• spent one season at the University of Texas and one at Weatherford College
