BROWNWOOD, Texas – Concordia University Texas women's soccer team was shutout by Howard Payne University in a 5-0 loss Saturday afternoon at Citizens National Bank Field. The loss drops Concordia to 3-6-2 and 2-4 in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) while; Howard Payne improves to 5-5 and 4-2.

During the second half of play Concordia gave up four goals after only being down 1-0 going into the half.

Concordia was outshot 19-3 in the match. The Tornados only took two shots on goal in the loss.

Goalie Elizabeth Hall (Pflugerville, TX) recorded four saves in the loss.

The Tornados will be back in action against Schreiner University on Thursday October 9, 2008 for a home match up at Vista Ridge High School. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start.
