Men's Soccer drops final game to UTD

AUSTIN, TX – The Concordia University Texas men's soccer team fell to the University of Texas at Dallas in their final game of the 2008 season 5-0 Saturday afternoon at Cedar Park High School. The 5-0 loss to UT Dallas finalizes the Tornados 2008 record at 3-15 and 2-11 in American Southwest Conference play while the Comets improve to 11-5-2 and 9-2-2. UT Dallas will advance to the ASC playoffs.

Concordia played tough defense in the first half as they held the Comets to only two goals, one in the 35th minute and the second in the 37th minute. Concordia took seven of their eight shots during the first half. 

Sophomore Eric Davis (Austin, TX) finished the game with 8 saves while Freshman Cullen Strange (Austin, TX) added one save in his 13 minutes of action. 

As a team the Tornados were out shot by the Comets 19-8 in the game with only four shots on goal.
