Austin, TX- Concordia University Texas women's basketball team (1-1, 1-1 ASC) fell to The University of Texas at Dallas (4-1, 2-0 ASC), 74-62 in American Southwest Conference play Monday night at the Concordia Field House. The Tornados fought back to come within three after being down as many as 18 points in the first half although strong post play by the Comets was too much to handle.

In the middle of the second half Concordia gained some momentum pacing a six point run on the Comets although late turnovers by the Tornados proved critical.

Offensively the Tornados were led by Senior Whitney Clancy who finished with 16 points and five assists in the loss. Senior Kassandra Bills added 15 points and 9 rebounds. Keri Carter and Lori Lee Back each finished with 9 points. The Comets were led by Chelsea Edwards with 19 points.

As a team Concordia was outrebounded 44-26, by the Comets along with being out shot 49% to 37% from the field. The Tornado defense did force 25 turnovers.
