AUSTIN, TX - Concordia Texas men's soccer team picked up another American Southwest Conference (ASC) loss to the Hardin Simmons University Cowboys on Saturday afternoon. The Cowboys dominated in the 3-0 victory. The loss drops the Tornados to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the ASC while, the Cowboys are now 4-3-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the ASC.

In the first half Concordia shut-out the Cowboys going into the second half tied 0-0. 

In the 61st minute Hardin Simmons got on the board off a corner kick by Cody Oswald. Two more goals followed in the 78th minute and 85th minute to give Hardin Simmons the 3-0 victory. 

As a team Concordia was outshot by the Cowboys 7-2 in the match. Sophomore goalie Eric Davis (Austin, TX) picked up three saves for the Tornados. Jay Shaffer (Aledo, TX) and Oscar Diaz (Austin, TX) each recorded a shot on goal. 

Concordia will return to action on Friday October 3rd, 2008 as they travel to Belton, TX to take on the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. The game is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
